The Synchronizer!

Our synchronizer technology is a powerful tool that enables our clients to combine the convenience of the Pocket PC with the case management capabilities of robust platforms like Microsoft Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and the familiarity of Microsoft Outlook.

Specifically, the synchronizer keeps in unison both the inspection activities and field data maintained on a Pocket PC and the case management platform. Together the Pocket PC/case management duo brings field service organizations to new levels of efficiency.

Here’s how the integration works with a Pocket PC/Microsoft CRM combination:

A case is created in the CRM service module and assigned to a user—say a field inspector.
When the inspector synchronizes his or her Pocket PC, new tasks appear in a caseload on the device.
The inspector performs the tasks by collecting inspection data and synchronizing the Pocket PC upon completion.
As the data flows back to Microsoft CRM, workflow rules are executed to close the activity, create new tasks as necessary, and all the inspection data is automatically recorded in Microsoft CRM (and or a back-office system).

With the Microsoft Pocket PC Phone Edition, inspection data can be synchronized real-time over the Internet and new cases can be uploaded to a Pocket PC wirelessly while the inspector remains in the field.
